MTL gets a Taste of NYC from designer Caroline Constas
I have attended Montreal Fashion Week, (MFW) many times and rarely do I do any sort of write ups about the show itself.
I had the pleasure of attending Caroline Constas, a Montreal born New York raised designer who showcased her collection during MFW.
What I enjoyed and personally liked about the tailored everyday pieces is the New York flair, versus the European touch that I am accustomed to seeing. Everything is produced in New York, with quality taken into consideration and fabrics from France and Italy. I did appreciate the fact that designer Caroline Constas kept in mind that the audience can notice the quality of fabrics when you present. Some designers seem to not comprehend that despite how great the design may be, but cheap quality can be a big turn off.
Personally I liked the show a lot, and despite it being classic pieces the flair and aura of womanly sophistication was refreshing, and something we can wear everyday.
Cant wait to see more from this talented designer 🙂

Target says Hello at MFW…
It is no surprise that major discount retailer Target, is opening in Quebec, with 16 stores to spread all over the province and 7 of them set to open on September 17th 2013. But we got a hint of style and personality at Montreal Fashion Week, where Target teamed up to say “Hello” or “Salut Québec”. Branding itself as a retailer with fashionable clothing, accessories and design, giving their presence at Montreal Fashion Week was a smart marketing strategy to have the industry representatives associate Target with Fashion almost subconsciously. Well designed, with brand colors the Target “lounge area” was welcoming and inviting to people who wanted to sit and rest between shows, or snack on popcorn or even grab a cocktail and talk to colleagues.
I usually am not big only crowding my posts with too many images, but it is interesting to see the attention to detail Target provided during MFW. Till next week…

In Talks with Karine Savage…….
Wrapping up another season of Montreal Fashion Week, and everything that goes with it, it was a pleasure to meet and talk with model Karine Savage. Besides attending events, writing reviews for clients and or taking care of their social media needs, what I enjoy the most is being able to meet and interact with diverse talent.
Knowing the shelf life of a model, Karine shares with us her future plans, and her MFW experience.
